Discussion:
No comments about another Canadian father buying into another ailing F1 team?

After seeing the early promotion of an average driver into a cash-strapped
Britsh team that his father bought into I thought there might be comment
here over (maybe) the same thing happening again Monaco weekend. Especially
when both fathers in question are Canadian. However there's been nothing
said here...

Don't let the denials fool you. It's no coincidence that Michael Latifi
spends US$270 million on McLaren shares just as his son seems to be stuck in
F2. Nicolas has been part of GP2 / F2 on-and-off since 2014 and has had a
full-time drive there for the last three seasons. However he's not really
progressing and it seems that his father has decided it's time to spend even
more money easing his sons way into the big league.

Daddy 2 bought into the company. Daddy 1 paid Williams for a seat.
There's a lot of difference.

Zak Brown is proving to be a waste of space. He's arselicking Fred even
more than RD to the point of racing in the US to keep him happy. That's
guaranteed to end up costing a fortune for fuck all gain. He was bought
in to sell the "Brand" and find sponsors. He's found plenty of
sponsors, but they're only paying a few quid a race, there's nothing
big. Brown started some sekrit group to find money and they've found
zip. Methinks there are some BrownTrousers around McLaren and Zak is
going to be getting his P45 soon.

BTW don't expect any bad mouthing about Zak in any of the Autosport, etc
media companies that he's also running.
