You're going to hate the Sakhir GP. . . .

(Not all that unusual - it happened in Singapore and Russia last year.)

It has long laps (Magnussen was 1:25.5 behind).
And the Safety Car held them together until they
restarted on lap 15 of 44 (so 29 laps to run).

But, seems without a doubt, the total quality
up and down the grid is better than ever.
In Qualifying, the best was 1:41.252,
the 107% time was 1:49.485, and the Slowest
was 1:44.314!

Safety cars will do that...
That would be 'safety car' in this instance, and earlyish - only 1/4 of
the way through. And the longer laps of course. But the middle bunch
still well-bunched at the end 33 laps later.

Anything to poke you negative little oar in, eh.

Yes: "in this instance". I was talking about the effect that safety cars
IN GENERAL have.

So that and a tire management race where the front runners were clearly
capable of going faster and there you go.

Reality is neither positive nor negative.
