No not a spelling mistake. That's how it was spelt on pit lane signage.

Spain is more car than driver so a good place to measure car performance.
Kubica ran in FP1

Macca upgrade looks quite big.
There is much more than just the obvious nose.
Incl front wing, nose, under-nose, tea-tray, spitter, barge boards, sidepods all the way to the rear.
Nando says: "faster car".

Ferrari halo mirrors are a minor part of their upgrades.
And the other teams all have the usual big 1st Euro race packages.
Will Dan be relegated to No2?
I'm hoping to get a three-way battle here, fingers crossed.
Lap time maybe 2 secs quicker?

Friday Practice:
RedBull look quick.
Bottas's long run was interesting !!

From Joe Saward:

“In the pitlane there was an interesting paint job on the tarmac which read
"Spainish Grand Prix", which was either a spelling mistake, or a very
clever painter making the point that the race was not really Spanish…”

I love "ish".

It's ambiguish... by just the right amount.

At least ESPN put qualifying on this time.

Why did Ferrari run the soft tire at the end of Q3? Were they out of Supers?

Qualifying for all 5 GPs this year has been carried on ESPN2.

The supersoft for Spain (and certain other tracks) is a special version
with a somewhat thinner tread in order to prevent blistering. Possibly
because of this both Ferrari drivers felt they were having difficulty
getting the best out of that tire and elected to go with the soft.
