FOM had a graphic stating that HAM has qualified on pole in
35% of his GPs, and that he ranks 5th in the all-time list.

Here's the top 20:

GPs PP %age
======================================
Juan Manuel Fangio 51 29 56.86
Jim Clark 72 33 45.83
Alberto Ascari 31 14 45.16
Ayrton Senna 162 65 40.12
Lewis Hamilton 225 80 35.56 *
Michael Schumacher 248 68 27.42
Sebastian Vettel 215 55 25.58 *
Stirling Moss 66 16 24.24
Jackie Stewart 99 17 17.17
Nigel Mansell 187 32 17.11
Jochen Rindt 60 10 16.67
Mike Parkes 6 1 16.67
Alain Prost 199 33 16.58
Damon Hill 122 20 16.39
Mika Häkkinen 161 26 16.15
Giuseppe Farina 33 5 15.15
James Hunt 93 14 15.05
Stuart Lewis-Evans 14 2 14.29
Mario Andretti 128 18 14.06
Niki Lauda 171 24 14.04

Other current drivers:

36 Fernando Alonso 307 22 7.17
38 Kimi Raikkonen 287 18 6.27
43 Valtteri Bottas 114 6 5.26
72 D Ricciardo 146 2 1.37
84 N Hulkenberg 152 1 0.66

All current drivers #starts assumes they start tomorrow's race.

87 drivers have achieved at least one pole position.

Just for fun - Lewis is now top of the Pole Position table with 80.
What if others above him in the above table had managed to start
as many GPs as he has, and maintained their %age?

Fangio 128
Clark 103
Ascari 102
Senna 90

And finally, Johnny Herbert has the unenviable record of most race
starts (160) without a pole.

Funny you should say that, because Hulkenberg has 152 race starts without a single podium (let alone win), holding the record by far. He got pretty lucky with that Brazil wet quali. (and has been unlucky in several races)

Ricciardo may have only been on pole twice, but he's got seven wins and twenty nine podiums to his name. He's pretty handy around Monaco with a win, a 2nd, and two 3rds and at Singapore with three consecutive 2nds and a 3rd.
