Loser of the Day. Despite having the fastest car (fastest lap of
the race), wasn't on the pole, never led a lap, didn't make the
podium, finished where he started and didn't pass anyone.

As the results over the years have clearly shown, the problem
isn't the Honda nor the car and never was, neither at Ferrari
nor McLaren.

Right. How many 2017 season podiums for Fred, after the break?

To me it makes sense that Nando was being gentle with the Honda PU for most
of the race but as he came to the end of the penultimate lap thought "it's
held together this long I'm going to see how it goes if I give it the
welly".

Since I sent that I've seen an interview with Boullier (sp?) who said that
Nando had fuel to spare for the last three or so laps after saving all race
so was free to plant boot...

So Perez had the fastest car at Monaco? Or in 2016, Hulk in China, Kvyat
in Spain, or Alonso at Monza.

He passed Sainz & Palmer - 20% of the race passes.

Don't know, don't care. Perhaps you'd like to try additional
failed obfuscation.

I'm sure passing Palmer would be considered an astonishing
accomplishment. A massive trophy should have been awarded.

- 20% of the race passes.
So your arithmetic challenged as well. Fact is, he started 7th,
he finished 7th. The only thing he passed was time.

As per the FIA's official classification, Alonso finished 6th.

All five drivers that finished ahead of him also finished in the position in which they started but also failed to set the fastest lap.

What do you extrapolate from that?

FA unarguably had the faster car than each and every one of them,
yet again failed to capitalize.

Raikkonen had a faster car than Vettel, and Hamilton had a faster car than Bottas. And etc etc.

And each and every one of them (including MV despite his
10 second penalty) through 6th fastest, finished ahead of Alonso.

If you put new boots on and don't care about them lasting then you can do a quali lap in the race?

(I don't know if he put new boots on .. haven't watched my downloaded race coverage yet)

Idiot Of The Day, punting your team mate into the weeds is about as bad
as it gets. He cost the team a lot of points with that stupid move.

And finished the race with more points than he started with.

Doesn't sound like a loss to me.

Frankly, I was amazed that the car made it to the end of the race.
