And Ferrari were the main supposed 'oil cheats'. Jeepers, Merc must
have found somewhere to hide many extra litres of extra oil in there
yesterday !

Maybe it's in the fuel tank; they're using a two-cycle engine without telling anyone! /sarc/

Funny you should mention 'tank' because earlier in the season Ferrari were
running two different oil tanks with two different 'lubricating' oil
formulations.... The FIA stopped them doing that as soon as it was
discovered.

Passenger cars have been using PCV since the 60's, but
burning oil to increase performance in a SIICE? Bwa ha
ha ha, only for the maroons with a third rate education.

Burning anything produces heat.

Burn oil in a cylinder and it will produce heat and hence greater
cylinder pressure...

You have a problem with facts, do you?

Sorry, but oil is a hydrocarbon, just as gasoline is a hydrocarbon.

Does it burn as well as gasoline? Of course not, but that doesn't matter
when you're trying to find a way to exceed the limit imposed by the
rules on amount of fuel you can burn in an hour.

Tell you what: YOU explain why burning oil can't be used to make more power.

Why can't oil be used increase performance in an internal combustion
engine where the amount of conventional fuel you can use is limited to a
maximum rate?

Go.

Indeed. Mercedes have always worked within the rules and got the maximum
from the donk. Ferrari were unable to match them so were running what was
essentially a separate solenoid switchable 'booster mix' oil in qually and
key moments in the race. When it was bought to the attention of the FIA due
to a keen-eyed photographer they deemed it to be illegal (but didn't go as
far as docking them points).

Odd that Baker could have an opinion on this subject without knowing the
facts. Obviously it's an uninformed opinion...

Fernundo's problems seem to be all due to Edfonzo convincing Honda that
no oil can be consumed during a race, meaning that they must drive the
engine very conservatively to avoid seizure due to inadequate cylinder
lubrication.

Now Ferundo Alomundo knows who to blame instead of Honda.

Mercedes use 800ml per 100 km of a permitted 1200ml
Ferrari use 1200ml per 100km.
!200 ml per 100km is legal, Mercedes use less than Ferrari but cheat ?????
