Gary Anderson tries his best to sound as foolish as the japanese comedians club.

"If McLaren divorces Honda and switches to Renault, there will be no more
excuses for poor performances.” (nowhere to hide)

Which is just as idiotic as Hasegawa tries to convince McLaren by scoring
a point on a circuit where it is 70 % about the chassis and 30% about the
PU. Nor Hasegawa nor his colleaques seems to understand he is proving
exactly what a piece of crap their engine is.

How is that foolish? No-one else uses the Honda so there is no way to
make a direct comparson of the chassis. That is no longer true should
they take the Renault.

They have at times claimed to have the best chassis on the grid. They
would not be able to do that if they are not the best Renault powered
car... assuming they have some decent drivers. :)

So how do you explain your disdain? Worried?

Seems a perfectly reasonable statement to me and not, I'm sure, intended to
be derogatory towards McLaren. Anderson states that he expects McLaren's
performance to improve dramatically given Renault power, but in the
unlikely event that it can't match the other Renault teams then this
once-great team will truly be in the mire.

It's the -nowhere to hide- part and the -no more excuses for poor performances-
that suggests McLaren is making up excuses while everyone knows what is
wrong with McLaren it is that hopeless powerless engine.

No. It doesn't suggest that at all.

It suggests a writer is trying to get people to read his article.
