* minimum weight for drivers
Restrictions on where the lighter ones can carry their ballast?
Many years ago when drag racer Angelle Savoie was winning pro stock motorcycle championships, her rivals complained that she weighed only 100lbs and was 'unfairly' quick off the start line.
So the NHRA introduced rider-plus-bike minimum weights. This meant that Angelle's team would have to add about 60lbs of lead ballast to her bike (now there was a 100lb woman wrestling a 500lb bike).
Nonetheless, they added the weight--- low down on the foremost part of the frame just behind the front wheel.
Effective result ---- it prevented wheelies, so she was able to leave even quicker!
(We won't get into the subsequent protests that she was "too short" at 5ft, and had an aerodynamic advantage too.)
Yes, I have posted this topic before ;-)
