On Thursday, August 31st, MotoGP star Valentino Rossi crashed an enduro motorbike and suffered 'displaced fractures' of the tibia and the fibula of his right leg.
He's 38 years old.
Twenty-three days later on Sunday 24 September he climbed onto his MotoGP bike and raced to fifth place in the Aragon Grand Prix.
Tough little bastard, eh.
In 1992 a Canadian woman rower who was entered in the single-sculls at the Barcelona Olympics, was "t-boned" during training by a double-sculls boat, which broke her leg, leaving the bones visible, tore the muscles from that leg, and left 200 wood splinters in her.
74 days later Silken Laumann rowed to a bronze medal at those Olympics.
I am simply not in the same class as Silken and Valentino; how do they do it?
